Corn and corn plants in the house of the Stadtwerkstatt: In spring, some corn was planted at the STWST. This was followed by test plantings and field observations with corn, one of the oldest cultivated plants in the world. Corn has migrated over the centuries and continents and is now moving into the STWST building as "nature" - between a Post Anthropocene and a Parallel World Chthulucene. However, it is not a wild, "free" nature, but a regulated, optimized, highly bred monoculture. From corn cultivation of early crops to a DIY cultivation to the high-yield history of Mon-suck-santo: with the corn plant, which stands between crop, food industry and high-tech processes, we show a nature and culture monotonia in the entrance area and at various locations in the building as a staging with critical agency. At the same time, the visitors walk through the house - in their memories still innocent children in maize fields, fascinated by retreat and disorientation.
